Join The RMF Youth Council

We’re looking for dedicated, passionate local high school students who want to contribute toward a sustainable change in their school and communities.

The Rob Machado Foundation’s mission is to educate and empower youth on sustainable choices. Youth are our future, and we believe that youth are actively capable today to begin making a difference for tomorrow. We want to energize youth and elevate their ideas and passions toward tackling the climate crisis.

The RMF Environmental Youth Council exists to amplify youth voices and to expand youth participation that provide earth positive solutions in our local community.
We are launching this youth council in Rob’s hometown of Encinitas, California.

1.    Meet regularly and share ideas to make an impact.
2.    Keep up on current environmental issues, news and events.
3.    Create programs in local schools and in local community in alignment with RMF.
4.    Execute new programs and measure impact.

·      Collaboration. We believe that teamwork makes the dream work. The members will listen to each other, respect one another and pursue common good.
·      Learning. We believe that education and research are key to forming thoughtful, impactful ideas and programs. This takes ongoing curiosity and humility and patience.
·      Positive vibes. We believe that the best ideas come from hopeful, forward thinking people. We are aware that the climate crisis is immense but are fiercely committed to being part of the solution.
